Valerie Hletko is a Partner in the Washington, D.C., and Chicago offices of Buckley LLP, representing a variety of financial services clients in complex civil litigation and in investigations and enforcement actions initiated by the DOJ, FDIC, FRB, CFPB, HUD, state bank regulatory agencies, and state attorneys general.
An acknowledged authority in her field, Ms. Hletko has been ranked by Chambers USA, Legal 500, and Super Lawyers. In 2017, she co-authored the “Fair Lending Litigation” chapter of the Litigation Services Handbook: The Role of the Financial Expert. She serves in various leadership positions in the American Bar Association, the Conference on Consumer Finance Law, Out in Law, and the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs.
Ms. Hletko holds a J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School, an M.T.S. from Harvard University, and a B.A. from Kenyon College.
