In light of the health risks represented by the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the recent state of emergency declared in a growing number of states and the travel bans being imposed by many companies in our industry, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Risk & Compliance Summit in Chicago, IL from April 5-7, 2020. We understand that the Risk & Compliance Summit offers a vital forum to hear from and interact with industry thought leaders and luminaries. Therefore, we will be investigating alternative ways to deliver some of this valuable content to you throughout 2020. Sharif Mahdavian is a Senior Director in the Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) group at Kroll Bond Rating Agency where he performs various aspects of the securitization ratings process including collateral analysis, counterparty operational reviews, due diligence analysis, as well as criteria development and market outreach. Immediately prior to joining KBRA, he was a Vice President of Sales at ComplianceEase. From 2005-2015, Sharif spent ten years in analytical and management roles in the U.S. RMBS group at Standard & Poor’s. Previous to his joining S&P, Sharif was a criminal prosecutor, litigator, and partner in private law practice for over 12 years.  Sharif holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
