In light of the health risks represented by the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the recent state of emergency declared in a growing number of states and the travel bans being imposed by many companies in our industry, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Risk & Compliance Summit in Chicago, IL from April 5-7, 2020. We understand that the Risk & Compliance Summit offers a vital forum to hear from and interact with industry thought leaders and luminaries. Therefore, we will be investigating alternative ways to deliver some of this valuable content to you throughout 2020. Laura C. LaRaia joined FGMC in August of 2018 and has worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years, working both in-house and in a law firm.  Ms. LaRaia has extensive legal and compliance knowledge as well as risk management.  She has led mortgage companies through the installation of TRID, LO Compensation changes, Ability to Repay and Qualified Mortgage, as well as many other legal and compliance initiatives in the mortgage banking industry.  Ms. LaRaia graduated from the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Future Leaders program in 2008 and its School of Mortgage Banking.  She is a frequent speaker at the MBA’s Regulatory Compliance conference.  Ms. LaRaia obtained her law degree from Loyola School of Law in New Orleans and is a Texas licensed attorney. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
