In light of the health risks represented by the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the recent state of emergency declared in a growing number of states and the travel bans being imposed by many companies in our industry, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Risk & Compliance Summit in Chicago, IL from April 5-7, 2020. We understand that the Risk & Compliance Summit offers a vital forum to hear from and interact with industry thought leaders and luminaries. Therefore, we will be investigating alternative ways to deliver some of this valuable content to you throughout 2020. Jeremy is employed by the Alabama Banking Department as the Mortgage Licensing/Examinations Coordinator.  Jeremy has been with the Department for 20 years. He is responsible for regulating all licensed mortgage companies and all mortgage loan originators. He investigates cases of mortgage fraud and any reports of intentional violations.

Jeremy is currently the Chair of the Multistate Mortgage Committee (MMC) and has conducted numerous MMC/CFPB coordinated examinations.  He was an initial member of the Mortgage Testing and Education Board which was created by CSBS in 2009. He also helped develop the national and state test for mortgage loan originators. Jeremy is certified through CSBS as a Senior Mortgage Examiner and was crucial to the Department receiving it’s mortgage accreditation through CSBS in 2018.  He graduated from Troy University in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
