We understand that the Risk & Compliance Summit offers a vital forum to hear from and interact with industry thought leaders and luminaries. Therefore, we will be investigating alternative ways to deliver some of this valuable content to you throughout 2020. Bill Matthews is President and CEO of State Regulatory Registry LLC (SRR), a subsidiary of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS).  SRR operates the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) on behalf of state financial services regulatory agencies.  NMLS launched in January 2008.  Located in Washington, D.C., CSBS is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the quality and effectiveness of regulation and supervision of state banking and financial services.  Bill joined CSBS in September 2005.

Bill has over 35 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industries.  He has worked as a principal and general manager of Mortgage Asset Research Institute, Vice President of Kaplan Smith & Associates, a subsidiary of First Boston, and a regulator with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.

Bill has an MBA degree in Finance and Investments from George Washington University.
