Any person accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Website, whether manually or through an automated mechanism, is considered a "User". In general, Users can visit the non-restricted pages of the Website without identifying themselves or revealing any personal information. Information tracking is limited to general Website traffic statistics and does not include personally identifiable information.

If a User is interested in becoming a Client, we will ask the prospective Client to provide basic information that is necessary to support standard billing and client support activities, including company name, contact name, address, email address and telephone number. This information (collectively, "Registration Information") may be used to contact the prospective Client about the Services for which they have expressed interest. Registration Information is treated as confidential, and its use is restricted to the internal ComplianceEase and client support operations. If other information is requested during the registration process, we will clearly indicate the information that is optional and not required in order to subscribe for Services. Prospective Clients are encouraged to provide all requested information so that ComplianceEase can provide more personalized service.

Internet addresses and other related information may also be collected when Users visit the Website. This information is logged to our secure database to help diagnose technical problems and to administer the Website so that we can maintain and improve the quality of service on the Website. We may also track and analyze non-personally identifiable aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our Users and provide such information to third parties.

2. Use of Collected Information

Except as may otherwise be agreed in writing by ComplianceEase and any Client, whether in a contract for the provisions of Services (a "Services Agreement") or otherwise, which agreement will govern only data submitted to or gathered by ComplianceEase with respect to such Client, ComplianceEase is the sole owner of the information collected on the Website. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Statement.

ComplianceEase uses the information we collect to set up the Services for individuals and their institutions. We may also use the information to contact clients and prospects to discuss further their interest in our Services and to provide information (such as announcements of promotions and events) about ComplianceEase or alliance partners. We may also e-mail newsletters and updates about the Services or ComplianceEase. You can opt out of receiving these communications by replying to them at the time they are distributed or at any time by e-mailing

Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving problems, support issues, or suspected violation of the Terms of Service, or as may be required by law. Clients are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their User IDs and Passwords.

If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may collect such information. We may use such information without restriction for marketing purposes, but we will not disclose any personally identifiable information in doing so without your prior consent. For example, if you send us a letter telling us how helpful the Services are to you, we may use the comment in our marketing materials, but we will not use your name when we do so unless you agree in advance.

8. Additional Terms for California Residents

Updated: December 2019
    1. Introduction

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California residents with specific rights regarding a business's collection of specified personal information, referred to in the CCPA as "Personal Information," including access, data portability, and erasure rights. The rights provided by the CCPA may be in addition to the rights described elsewhere in this Privacy Statement.

If you are a California resident and are a job applicant or prospective contractor with ComplianceEase, please refer to Section III below.

The CCPA rights delineated in this section cover only Personal Information that is collected directly by ComplianceEase. The rights described below do not cover Personal Information collected by another party (e.g., a mortgage lender) that was subsequently provided to ComplianceEase via such party's use of our compliance services. For inquiries related to ComplianceEase's use of such Personal Information, please contact us at

    2. Rights Under the CCPA
      1. Access and Data Portability Rights. You have the right to request that ComplianceEase disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of Personal Information during the prior twelve months. This includes:

ComplianceEase does not sell your Personal Information.

      2. Erasure Rights. You have the right to request that ComplianceEase entirely delete Personal Information that we have collected from you during the prior twelve months. We may deny your deletion request if our retention of the Personal Information is necessary for us to:

If requested, we will provide you with a copy of your Personal Information in a portable, readily usable format.

Note that we cannot respond to requests or provide you with Personal Information if we are unable both to verify your identity, or authority to make the request, and to confirm that the requested Personal Information relates to you or the person you represent. We will only use Personal Information included in a verifiable consumer request for the purpose of verifying the requestor's identity or authority to make the request. Please note that the CCPA limits you to two consumer requests of a particular business per twelve-month period.

      3. Non-Discrimination. ComplianceEase will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless further legislative action is taken during 2020, as of January 1, 2021, you will be able to exercise the access, data portability, and erasure rights described above in the same manner as other California consumers.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the Sign-In page of the Website and/or email such changes to Clients. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify Users by way of email. Users will have the ability to request that we not use their information in this different manner. In such event, we will use the information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
